Is it safe to have a massage while pregnant?

Women can begin massage therapy at any point in their pregnancy – during the first, second, or third trimester. Many massage centers will refuse to offer massage to a woman who is still in her first trimester because of the increased risk for miscarriage associated with the first 12 weeks of pregnancy.

Pregnancy massage is a catch-all term for any hands-on massage during or after your pregnancy both "prenatal or postnatal" massage. The length of the pregnancy massage typically lasts an hour. Practitioners most often use a massage table with accessories that are designed to accommodate a woman's pregnant belly. We are pleased to offer you a selection of quality tools and products to make your clients more comfortable.
