Uses and Benefits of Citronella Essential Oil
Citronella Essential Oil (Cymbopogon nardus) is most commonly known to repel flying insects such as mosquitos. However in traditional Sri Lankan medicine, its crushed leaves were used to heal wounds.
Steamed-distilled from leaves, Citronella Essential Oil is credited with having beneficial aromatic properties and can be used for topical application to improve circulation, eczema, dermatitis and reduces swelling as well as reduces symptoms of the flu, colds and fever.
Additionally, Citronella Essential Oil can deodorise and refresh foul body odours, eliminate head and body lice, slow the look of aging, enhance skin health, and improve skin’s absorption of moisture.
